The 22-year-old centre or second rower, who played for Wales in the 2013 World Cup, made just seven Super League appearances in four seasons with the Warriors.

Lloyd spent time on loan with Widnes, Whitehaven, Workington and London Broncos as well as two stints with the Lions last season, culminating in an impressive performance in their promotion play-off final win over Keighley.

“We are now delighted to confirm that we have secured Rhodri’s signature on a permanent deal,” said a Swinton spokesman.

Swinton have also appointed former Salford chief executive Martin Vickers as commercial director.
