Teams revealed: Jai Field makes Wigan Warriors debut on wing

Jai Field will make his Wigan Warriors debut on the wing.

The former Parramatta speedster - usually a halfback or full-back - will line-up on the right flank, with teenager Umyla Hanley on the other edge.

Adrian Lam's line-up for tonight's opener against Leigh Centurions has been confirmed.

As expected, Zak Hardaker reverts from centre to full-back in the absence of Bevan French while Jake Bibby and Willie Isa take the centre roles.

Thomas Leuluai and Harry Smith start at halfback, with Sam Powell at hooker.

With Isa moving to the backline, John Bateman makes his return to the club in the second-row berth along with Liam Farrell.

Of the initial 21-man squad, veteran Tony Clubb misses out along with Kiwi prop Mitch Clark and youngsters Sam Halsall and James McDonnell.

Former Wigan players, and recent signings, Lewis Tierney and Matty Russell are in the Leigh side.

Kick-off is 8.15pm and the game is live on Sky Sports.
