Wane: Charnley has built-up credits with me
The jet-heeled winger, who was brought up through the club’s academy by Wane, makes his return to Wigan’s starting line-up to face Wakefield tonight after serving a two-game ban.
And Wane will throw the Sale RU-bound star straight back into the squad as the Cherry and Whites mount a challenge for a fourth straight Grand Final appearance.

“He’s built-up enough credits with me this year to deserve to come back in the team – no question.”
Charnley made his first-team debut in 2010 before collecting two Challenge Cup winner’s medals, in 2011 and 2013, and a Grand Final winner’s ring, also in 2013.
Ex-Warrior Joe Burgess returns from the NRL to replace him next season, but Wane added: “If we were to be lucky enough to get anything this year, he would be the first person I would go to, because he’s given a lot for this club.”
