He said: “This is a tough game, we’re going all right and they’re going outstandingly well.

Chris Chester said straight after the Huddersfield game: ‘We want to go to Wigan and get five out of five’.

“So they’re coming here to keep their unbeaten record, which is great for us – it’s thrown the gauntlet down and we need to accept it, turn up and make this a game.”

Trinity, who nilled Wigan on the final day last season, have had two wins by two points, and Wane said: “They’ve had a couple of close games – one in Catalans – and it shows they can stay in the grind and get tough wins.

“We go all right at the DW and we need to make it a fortress.”
