The Warriors will field a ‘select’ side against Sean Long’s Oldham on Sunday, January 19, at Boundary Park before travelling to Leeds Rhinos the following weekend for Ash Handley’s testimonial in preparations for the 2025 season.
Here are seven players we’re excited to see on the field during Wigan’s pre-season schedule, with plenty of youngsters hoping to be given their chances.

5. Tiaki Chan

6. Nathan Lowe
The outside-back joined Wigan in their overseas training camp in Portugal this time last year, and featured against Midlands Hurricanes in the pre-season victory. He was officially promoted to the senior squad ahead of 2025, and adds depth to the centre options in the squad. An exciting future ahead for the youngster... Photo: WW

7. Noah Hodkinson
The outside-back was a try-scorer in the Academy Grand Final win over rivals St Helens in 2024 at the Totally Wicked Stadium and impressed at full-back, and so it will be interesting to see how he takes his opportunities if given the chance in pre-season Photo: WW

8. Jacob Douglas
The winger made his Wigan senior bow in 2024 in the 19-12 win over Warrington Wolves, and later enjoyed a try-scoring home debut in the win over Hull FC. The reigning champions triggered the one-year extension on his contract for 2025, and he’ll be hoping to earn some more senior appearances Photo: WW
