Wigan Warriors boss Shaun Wane gives Jake Shorrocks a licence to impress
The Wigan halfback is on loan at Salford after battling back from a serious knee injury which ruined his 2017 campaign.
And Wane will get the chance to cast a close eye on his progress for the Red Devils when Ian Watson’s squad arrives this Friday.

Wane could have prevented the 22-year-old from facing his parent club as part of his loan arrangement.
But he said: “I just think it’s so unfair saying to another club, ‘Help us try and get our player some game-time’, and then say he can’t play against us.
“It’s not my style, I don’t like it.
“I think it would be wrong to put that stipulation in because I want him get some game-time - not to limit it.

Shorrocks played a big role in the Warriors’ march to the 2016 Grand Final - only missing out when Sean O’Loughlin was declared fit late-on - but suffered a season-ending injury in his only appearance last year.
Since moving on loan to Salford, he has faced Warrington and started at halfback in last Thursday’s 60-10 defeat -against St Helens.
“The players like him and they’ll be revved up, they’ll get stuck into him,” added Wane.
