Wigan Warriors' Ethan Havard 'could become one of best props in Super League'
Ethan Havard can become one of the best props in England before he turns 21.
That’s the bold prediction of Adrian Lam, who last week saw the 19-year-old pledge his future to Wigan.
And the coach is excited about his future in the game.
“He’s only 19, he played 80 minutes a couple of weeks ago and that shows where he will get to,” said Lam, the Kangaroos assistant.
“He’s only had one off-season with us in the first-team, so in a year or two he could be one of the best front-rowers in this competition.
“He’s got a lot of work to do to get there, he knows that, and we’re excited about where he can get to.”
Havard strengthened his promising credentials in the Challenge Cup quarter-final win against Hull FC.
He started in the absence of experienced front-rowers Ben Flower, Tony Clubb, George Burgess and Joe Bullock to injury or suspension.
