Sam Tomkins suffered a broken hand

Greenwood, who has not been picked in the previous two matches, will bolster the pack after George Burgess was suspended.

But half-back Tomkins will miss out after scans confirmed he suffered a broken hand in the opening stages of last Sunday’s 20-14 win at Anfield.

Leeds scrum-half Richie Myer is recalled in his place for the Elland Road showdown and Warrington’s Stefan Ratchford, a former St Pats amateur, will come on to the bench to replace Daryl Clark (broken rib).

England lead the series against Michael Maguire’s New Zealand by 2-0.

Wayne Bennett also confirmed that Sean O’Loughlin has failed to recover from a calf injury he aggravated in the first Test at Hull, so James Graham will continue to lead the side in his absence.

Meanwhile, Bennett said England have decided not to appeal the four-match ban imposed on Burgess after he was found guilty of gouging the eye of Kiwis captain Dallin Watene-Zelezniak at Anfield on Sunday, although he insisted the South Sydney forward would not deliberately commit such an offence.

“I don’t believe it was a deliberate eye gouge,” he said.
