

Wigan Warriors: The young players to look out for in this weekend's pre-season game against Whitehaven
Wigan Warriors face Whitehaven at the Recreation Ground in their first game of pre-season on Sunday afternoon (K.O. 3pm).
Players from the club’s academy and reserves make up the squad for the trip to Cumbria.
A few of the individuals who will be involved tasted first team action last season, with seven players receiving their debuts in August’s game against Hull KR.

5. Junior Nsemba- prop
Junior Nsemba featured in the pre-season games against Newcastle Thunder and Warrington Wolves last year, as well as making his senior debut against Hull KR. He also made regular appearances for the reserves and the academy. Photo: Stewart Frodsham

6. Zach Eckersley- centre
Like Nsemba, Zach Eckersley, 19, featured in Wigan's two pre-season games last year and made his Super League debut against Hull KR. Photo: Stewart Frodsham

7. Logan Astley- half back
Logan Astley, 19, made his debut against Huddersfield Giants last May, and also featured in the Hull KR game at Craven Park. As well as this, he captained the reserves to their Grand Final victory over Wakefield at Robin Park Arena. Photo: Stewart Frodsham
