Wigan Warriors Women beat St Helens to reach Grand Final

Wigan Warriors Women made it a double Grand Final weekend for the club next weekend by beating St Helens in their semi-final 10-6 this afternoon.

Amanda Wilkinson’s Warriors now face Leeds at 1pm next Saturday at the Manchester Regional Arena, Rowsley St, Manchester M11 3FF.

After going behind to an early St Helens penalty goal, Wigan hit the front when Alison Burrows went over with the half hour approaching.

Michelle Davis’ conversion put Wigan 6-2 up and Rachel Thompson extended their lead before the break with a try.

Katie-May Williams scored for Saints with four minutes left, but Wigan held on to claim their first ever Grand Final spot.
