The hooker, 20, is poised for a stint with the Championship club, according to a report in today's League Express.

A move would seem logical, given the difficulties fringe players may face getting game-time at Wigan this season.

The reserve competition has been shelved for this year, and dual-registration suspended as a Covid-19 precaution.

Centre Chris Hankinson has already left Wigan on loan to join London Broncos for the 2021 campaign, while Jake Shorrocks secured a release from his contract to join Newcastle.

Yorkshireman Bourouh was handed his debut by Adrian Lam in 2019 and backed that up with three appearances last season.

But all the hookers and halfbacks who were ahead of him last season have been retained, while Wigan have also signed Australian livewire Jai Field.
