Morgan Escare is out of the Good Friday derby.

The French full-back/halfback has a virus and has been left out of Shaun Wane’s 19-man squad for the sell-out clash at St Helens.

One of Liam Marshall, Romain Navarette or Josh Woods will replace him.

Woods, a young halfback, would appear the obvious choice but Wane may opt to bring in French international Navarrete to give him four forwards on the bench.

He could then switch No.13 Sean O’Loughlin into the halfback roles, when Thomas Leuluai is rested and Sam Powell switches to hooker.

Ryan Morgan has been called up to Saints’ squad, replacing Adam Swift who has a shoulder injury.

Elsewhere, ex-Warrior Josh Charnley is set to make his Warrington debut against Widnes this Friday.
