LIAM Farrell reckons Lee Mossop will prove to be one of the signings of the new Super League campaign.
The prop has rejoined Wigan after an injury-hit season in the NRL with Parramatta.
The return of former players often doesn’t generate the same level of anticipation as new faces.
But Farrell is in no doubts that Mossop is a “massive” boost to Wigan’s chances of recapturing the silverware they surrendered last term.
He said: “It’s a massive signing for us – as good as any of the signings, if not better.
“I’m looking forward to him having a really good season. Hopefully he’s over his shoulder problems, he’s a great player and if he plays anything like he did in 2013 he’ll be great for us.
“Personally, he’s a good mate of mine, and I’m chuffed to see him back.”
Super League’s other top signings including Ashton Sims (Warrington), Todd Carney (Catalans) and Adam Cuthbertson (Leeds).
As well as bringing back Mossop, Warriors have also recruited Taulima Tautai and Larne Patrick from Wakefield and Huddersfield respectively to beef up their pack for 2015.
