Liam Farrell is remaining upbeat despite being overlooked for England’s opening Four Nations game.
He was left out of the squad which went down 17-16 to New Zealand on Saturday.
Farrell has been a regular face in the national side since 2012 and was man of the match in last month’s Grand Final victory.
But Wayne Bennett opted for his Warriors team-mate John Bateman and Canberra’ Elliot Whitehead, with Mike Cooper – able to also play prop – taking a bench spot.
“As much as I’m disappointed not to be in, I just have to get on with it,” said Farrell.
“I’m not getting down about it, because no one has a right to be in there and John and Elliot are quality players, and doing very well.”
Several other in-form players didn’t make the cut for Saturday’s game, including halfback George Williams and ex-Warriors prop Scott Taylor.
And Farrell added: “There are other lads in other positions who are missing out, all of them are very good players – as a country it’s a good position for us to be in.
“Hopefully I can do enough to get in there before the end of the tournament.”
England are aiming for a comprehensive win against Scotland this Saturday to keep alive their hopes of reaching the Four Nations Final.
Australia face New Zealand in the second match at Coventry.
