LIAM Farrell could miss the rest of Wigan’s Super 8s campaign.
The England forward suffered an upper-body injury during training and has been ruled out of Saturday’s trip to London to face Catalans.
Shaun Wane says he could be sidelined for three to four weeks.
Second-placed Warriors have four games left before the play-offs.
Farrell, 25, has scored four tries in his last three appearances.
“It’s a blow, because Faz had been in great form – but we’ll deal with it,” said Wane.
On the plus side, Wane has four frontline players available again.
Hooker Micky McIlorum, winger Joe Burgess, prop Taulima Tautai and centre Anthony Gelling all missed their last match, a 28-0 victory at Warrington.
While McIlorum and Burgess would appear certain to come straight back into the squad, Wane admits he has some big decisions to make this week.
Farrell’s absence could be plugged by John Bateman, who has been filling in at centre for injured Dan Sarginson, now that Gelling is available.
Alternatively, Connor Farrell or Larne Patrick may come into the mix.
