GARETH Hock insisted he had “no regrets” over his bitter departure from Wigan.
His move to Widnes was confirmed yesterday in a stinging statement from the Warriors, criticising Hock’s attitude and accusing him of not wanting to play for the club.
Chairman Ian Lenagan said the 29-year-old attempted to get sacked by refusing to train since Christmas.
England international Hock – angling for a move to the NRL in 2014 – admitted “some of it is true” but would not elaborate on how his time at his home-town club deteriorated.
Asked about Wigan’s accusations, Hock replied: “I didn’t know Wigan had said anything. Some of it is true but it’s between me and Wigan, that’s all I’ll say.
“I don’t know where the bit about refusing to do rehab has come from, as they sent it to me on email. I’ve no idea where that has come from.
“I’m disappointed and surprised they’ve said it, but that’s up to them.”
