WIGAN Warriors have revamped their season ticket system – allowing fans to customise their own packages.
The name has been changed to ‘season membership’ and fans can choose from a series of additional add-ons – including match-day parking and subscription to Wigan TV.
Warriors were Super League’s best supported club last season with an average crowd of 16,043, and hope the memberships build on that support.
The club’s marketing director Simon Collinson said: “We are changing our focus from the traditional season ticket towards a more flexible membership structure that allows fans to support the club in ways more suited to them.”
Membership prices for 2013 have risen slightly on last season’s prices, to reflect the £1 increase on matchday admission next term.
At £206 for renewals and £221 for new purchases, officials say they offer up to £89 savings for adults, and Wigan remain one of the cheapest teams to watch in Super League.
Junior season tickets have been frozen at £26.
Collinson added: “The development of memberships has been researched, planned and tested over the past few years and we are delighted to now unveil the first part of our new membership structure.”
As well as securing a seat for 13 home league games, seasonal memberships will – like season tickets – include other benefits such as first priority on cup, play-offs and final tickets, a discount on a Magic Weekend ticket and discounts on the new 2013 home or away shirt.
Members will also be able to exchange unused game tickets for matches later in the season for family and friends, and be invited to a series of privat Warrors events throughout the year.
Renewal packs have been sent out. Memberships are now on sale at the DW Stadium ticket office. Call 0871 6633552.
