SHAUN Wane has hinted ex-London pair Tony Clubb and Dan Sarginson are in line to make their debuts at Leigh on Sunday.

Warriors travel to face Centurions in their first of a string of pre-season warm-up games and the Wigan boss intends to field a stronger squad than in previous years for the fixture.

Clubb and Sarginson have not played since the Super League regular season finished in September and Wane wants a reversal of the 30-6 defeat at Leigh last January.

“We’ll be going in it to win the game,” said Wane.

“Dan and Tony are probably ready for a game and I’m looking forward to seeing how they go because they’ve really impressed me during training.”

A handful of fringe players from the under-19s are expected to be put into the mix as the players involved in the World Cup, Sean O’Loughlin, Mike McIlorum, Liam Farrell, Eddy Pettybourne are not expected to feature and the injured Josh Charnley will also miss out. A Wigan side will travel to London on Friday January 24 to face London Skolars followed by a stronger team travelling up to Workington for Paul Prescott’s testimonial on Sunday January 26.
