Dan Sarginson is wanted by at least two NRL clubs.
Gold Coast Titans are leading the chase for the England centre, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
And Melbourne Storm are also showing interest in the 22-year-old.
A few weeks ago, Sarginson said he was undecided about his long-term future.
He has just started his third year at Wigan, having been recruited by Shaun Wane from London Broncos.
If he leaves at the end of the year, the Warriors would appear to have a ready-made replacement in the shape of Oliver Gildart.
The teenager burst onto the scene last summer when Sarginson was ruled out with a season-ending leg injury, and has continued to impress this year.
Both Gildart and fellow centre Anthony Gelling are on long-term deals.
The Warriors lost Joe Burgess to the NRL at the end of last season.
He has been dropped by Sydney Roosters for this weekend’s game against Canberra despite scoring two tries on his debut.
