SCOTT Taylor is hungry to be in Shaun Wane’s final squad for the Challenge Cup Final.

The ex-Hull KR forward was part of Wigan’s winning side against his old club last Friday night and now has his sights are set on this week’s fixture against Huddersfield Giants.

And Taylor is hoping to be in the squad to try and impress Wane before the Wigan boss picks his Wembley side.

“Huddersfield are playing hard and have improved a lot, so it will be a very tough game,” said Taylor.

“It could be the toughest game we’ve had all season.

“There will be a couple of positions already nailed on the team sheet for Wembley but I reckon there is a good percentage of the team not picked yet – and Waney will want to have a look at who wants to grab their shirt.

“And there is no one wants to play in that final more than me.”

Taylor continued: “I just need to keep playing as well as I can every week.

“To win games like that you just need to get back to doing your basics right.”
