HAT-TRICK hero Iain Thornley has admitted it would be nice to repeat his scoring feats of Friday’s win over Hull KR at Warrington on Thursday but has marked-out areas which need more urgent attention.
The 22-year-old centre believes the Wolves will punish any lapses in Wigan’s defence much more ruthlessly than the Robins managed at the DW Stadium - meaning a repeat of the Warriors’ 34-20 success will be harder to come by.
“Warrington will be looking at clips of how Hull KR got us and will probably try similar things so we need to brush up on a few things,” admitted the centre.
“We need to be on our game - they are a top side and we need to be on the ball.
“They are a good attacking team so we’ll have to knuckle down.”
Thornley’s scoring antics on Friday took him to joint top of the Super League try-scoring charts with five.
