Shaun Wane has revealed his squad for the World Club Challenge.

There are no surprises in his 19-man squad, which is the same initial panel as for the 26-16 win at Salford last Saturday.

Wane expects John Bateman to return to the team, after missing out last week through a back spasm.

His return will force another forward out of the showdown with Cronulla Sharks.

Willie Isa, Ryan Sutton or Joel Tomkins – just back from a long lay-off – may be squeezed out, though in truth, there is no obvious candidate to miss out to accommodate Bateman’s return.

Winger Liam Marshall, who was left out last week, is again expected to drop out.

There is no bench-hooker in the squad, meaning Sam Powell will play the 80 minutes or Sean O’Loughlin will be used in that position for a spell to ease the burden.

Officials say more than 20,000 tickets have been sold for Sunday’s showdown, which kicks-off at 3pm.

Wigan Warriors 19-man squad:

John Bateman, Joe Burgess, Tony Clubb, Morgan Escaré, Liam Farrell, Ben Flower, Anthony Gelling, Oliver Gildart, Willie Isa, Thomas Leuluai, Liam Marshall, Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Sean O’Loughlin, Sam Powell, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Lewis Tierney, Joel Tomkins & George Williams.
