AT least 11 Wigan players will be involved on England duty at the same venue this Saturday.
Five Warriors are included in Steve McNamara’s squad for a friendly against Italy, a week before their World Cup campaign begins.
And six players from the Cherry and Whites have been named in the second-string Knights squad. They take on Samoa, who could field Harrison Hansen in their ranks.
Logan Tomkins has been called into the Knights set-up - marking a good week for the brothers, with older brother Joel in the England RU set-up and Sam in the England RL team.
McNamara has announced a starting-line up for the game at Salford and will use seven players from an unlimited interchange bench for a match that is not being classed as a full international.
The only players not available to McNamara are Warrington second rower Ben Westwood, who is serving a one-match suspension for punching Blake Green in the Grand Final, and Wigan loose forward Sean O’Loughlin, who is still recovering from an injury-hit end to the domestic season with the double winners.
