Wigan are appealing against Romain Navarrete’s one-game ban.
The French forward was given a Grade B penalty notice for ‘dangerous contact’ which saw him sinbinned late on in the 46-8 win against Leeds.
The one-match suspension rules him out of Friday’s home match against Warrington.
Shaun Wane confirmed he will skip England’s World Cup match this evening to face the Red Hall disciplinary and appeal against the punishment.
A week earlier, Castleford lost Matt Cook to the sinbin for a similar challenge against Wigan and didn’t face any further punishment.
Wane said: “I think the one-game ban is tough. We’ll appeal.”
