WARRIORS held off a second-half charge from Saints to win a pulsating Good Friday derby as the sunshine lit up the DW Stadium.
Pat Richards sealed the win with a late try in the corner after Warriors had lead 18-0 at the break before Saints finally found their form.
It was Richards’ second try along with others from Sam Tomkins, Josh Charnley and Dom Crosby.
Richards kicked four conversions while Saints managed two out of three.
Paul Clough, Francis Meli and Tommy Makinson all crossed for the visitors as they fought back bravely in the second period with two conversions from Mark Percival but Warriors held on for the points.
