Wigan Warriors beat Leeds Rhinos to win women's Super League Grand Final

A dramatic last-minute penalty goal from Charlotte Foley fired Wigan Warriors to an 18-16 win over Leeds Rhinos in the women's Grand Final.

It sealed an incredible finish for Amanda Wilkinson's squad, given the team was only set-up a year ago.

Leeds went in front early with a try from Rhiannon Marshall before Rachel Thompson hit back for the Warriors with the first of her hat-trick.

Thompson struck again to put Wigan in front by the break.

Georgia Wilson scored early in the second half to extend Wigan's lead before Thompson's hat-trick try had them 16-6 up on the hour mark.

But Leeds hit back with tries from Caitlin Beevers and Suze Hill to set-up the dramatic finish.
