WIGAN Warriors pair James Greenwood and Oliver Gildart have joined Salford Red Devils on one-month loan deals.
Greenwood, a 23-year-old prop forward, spent the 2014 season on loan at London Broncos where he played 16 times scoring three times. The former Saddleworth junior has made one appearance for the Warriors in 2015.
Gildart signed a new four-year deal with the club ahead of this season. The centre capped a fine season last year with an England academy call-up.
Son of former Wigan player Ian, the 18-year-old has played on dual-registartion at Workington this year, he is yet to make an appearance for the Warriors’ first team.
Speaking about the deal to take the duo to Salford, Wigan Warriors head coach Shaun Wane said: “After a hard Easter period we’ve come through it ok and have really started to get some numbers back on board lately.
“I can’t guarantee James and Oliver game-time at the moment so when this opportunity came about we all agreed that this was an excellent chance for them to go and test themselves at Super League level.
