WARRIORS pair Rob Lever and Rhodri Lloyd have joined Championship One side Swinton Lions on loan.

Lloyd, 21, spent last season on loan at Widnes Vikings, and joins Swinton on a month-long loan, while 20-year-old Lever moves to the Lions for the rest of the season.

“Rhodri and Rob have had good pre-seasons for us and have worked very hard,” said Warriors coach Shaun Wane.

“With the competition for places I have in the pack at the moment I’ve not been able to give them the time out on the field that they require at this stage so it’s a good move all round.

“We have a great relationship with Swinton with several contacts there so it makes sense for everyone that both Rhodri and Rob head over there to get some game time and experience.”

The pair team-up with former Warriors player Jordan James, former youth team players Grant Beecham and Ben Austin alongside Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Coach Tommy Gallagher.
