Wigan Warriors Women kicked-off their Women’s Super League season in style with a 54-0 win over Featherstone Rovers Ladies at Robin Park on Sunday.
They ran in 11 tries during the rout in front of 378 spectators, with Kate McMullen opening the scoring on five minutes.
A double from Vanessa Temple and a Sarah Harrison effort put the Warriors 22-0 up at the break.
And Harrison’s second, plus doubles from Rachel Thompson and Georgia Wilson kept the scoreboard ticking over, while Rebecca Greenfield also added a try.
Michelle Davies kicked the goals.
Warriors Women are next in action on Sunday, April 29, when they host Leeds Rhinos Women.
