Don't get caught out!
It's wort keeping in mind when planning your trip that there will be certain items that music fans won’t be able to take to the event.
Here's some helpful advice of which items are banned from both the arena and the various campsites at Kendal Calling:
As much as you might miss your furry friends, they won't be welcome at Kendal Calling. However, assistance dogs will be allowed. If you are planning to bring a barbecue, you might want to bring a box of matches as well. Chinese lanterns can pose a serious fire risk if released. Campfires are another serious fire risk which are banned from this year's event. Kendal Calling is a family event and it's a great opportunity for kids to make new friends. However, make sure you keep them with you at all times. We're sure many of the acts will have their own impressive light shows and pyrotechnics, so we'd suggest leaving your left over fireworks safely at home. Flares and smoke bombs are guaranteed to spoil the experience for everyone and can emit toxic fumes while being burned, causing irritation to your throat, eyes and lungs. An obvious one. You'll just have to stick with plastic for a few days. Campsites are packed enough as it is! As well as illegal drugs, legal highs and nitrous oxide are also against the law. However innocent your intentions might be, if an item you are carrying can be used as a dangerous weapon we'd suggest leaving it at home. If you are bringing a barbecue make sure you only fetch solid firelighters with you. Just use your arm like everyone else ;)
