Shot on vintage Super 8 film in and around the borough, the video for All My Life tries to capture the friendship and aimlessness of summer days.

The song was one of the first 20-year-old songwriter Alex penned and reflects the lives of his generation.

He said: "“The message of the song is significant for me, it was borne out of desperation, pain and anger. I am not sure why.

"I had already had a lot of life experience by then, I was and still feel like an old head on young shoulders.

"When I read the lyrics it’s actually quite optimistic, so I was probably looking to my guitar to escape, make sense of the world, make a new version of the world for myself.”

The video for the new single, which was recorded at Liverpool's Parr Street Studios with producer James Skelly, was shot by prolific music film-maker James Slater.

The group celebrating its launch with a listening party on Twitter hosted by Tim Burgess of alternative rockers The Charlatans.

The Lathums have enjoyed a rapid rise to the top of the music scene with their bright, upbeat melodies, taut songwriting and lyrics which include subjects such as the French Resistance, digital culture and the materialistic age.
