A CARE provider is launching with a coffee money for a cancer charity.
Evolving Care, at Pemberton Business Centre, in Richmond Hill, is taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, September 28, from 11am until 1pm.
The event is part of a national fund-raiser for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff member Marie Walsh said: “We want to support the charity as it is close to our hearts, especially as we deal with a lot of end of life care in our line of work.
“We provide domiciliary care and work with the Primary Care Trust to provide help, friendship and respite for carers and patients,
“Everyone is welcome to join us to celebrate our open day and also to help support a great cause.”
Elsewhere in the borough, members of St Richard’s Parish Centre, in Atherton, are organising a similar coffee fund-raiser for Macmillan,
The event will be held at the centre, in Crabtree Lane, on Wednesday, September 26 from 10am until noon.
Admission is £2 and includes tea or coffee and a cake.
There will be various stalls and tombola to raise extra cash for the charity which provides practical, medical and financial support for cancer patients.
