Exciting parade set to light up the town
The Light Night festivities, taking place in Wigan and Leigh, will see light installation parades, street performers and incredible artwork descend on the towns to light up the imaginations of residents of all ages.
Light Night Wigan and Leigh is delivered in partnership between Wigan STEAM, Wigan Council, the Wigan Libraries D:Circus Project and Arts Council England.

Hide AdLight Night Wigan will take place from 5.30pm on Saturday, October 27, with events happening at venues across the town centre.
There will be a fun drop-in “Bee-Light” candle workshop with artist Sandra Bouguerch for the entire family, which will be taking place between 5.30pm and 8.30pm at Wigan Library.
The Light Night Leigh will start from 5.30pm on Thursday, October 25.
It will begin with a torch light parade near the Spinning Gate shopping centre, alongside the Travelling Light Circus, Handmade Parade and Wigan STEAM.

Hide AdThere will also be fun drop-in workshops at Leigh library, including paper sculptures with artist Kate Bufton and bird and butterfly feeder making with the RSPB.
Children will also be able to complete the Arts Award Discover.
This is an introductory award designed for ages five and above, but is open to children and young people aged up to 25.
To achieve an Arts Award Discover, children and young people collect evidence in an individual arts log of their experiences of arts activities, and sharing their arts discoveries.
Attendees will also be able to take advantage of free weekend parking at all council owned Wigan and Leigh car parks.
