A YOUNG urban musician is preparing to launch her latest single.
A Me B is releasing her single Breathe as the initial follow-up to last year’s acclaimed mixtape Ups and Downs.
The Golborne artist, whose real name is Amy Burns, has gone for a rather summery, club-friendly feel to the new track, which was recorded with producer Luminati at a studio in Blackpool.
Breathe has already gained strong reviews from the BBC Introducing scheme.
Amy, 20, said: “I didn’t think the new song was too different to the last EP but everyone else seems to think it is.
“It’s very upbeat with a breakbeat feel, and there’s elements of dance and trance music in it. I’m also singing much more now, which I’m really enjoying as I always come up with the melodies first before the rapping parts.
“I’ve already had brilliant feedback on it, I couldn’t have asked for a better response.”
Amy is currently planning a video and working on a release date for Breathe, which will also be heard on radio stations and on club playlists later this month.
The track also offers Amy’s fans their first taste of a forthcoming concept EP, which will be out later this year.
