IT’S been a sunny story of international success for those behind local clubnight Jacks House.
Last year, Wigan lads Chris Devany and Andy Alty set up a musical event at the Revolution Bar in Wigan.
The night was set up to play the best in funky, feel-good house music, bringing a touch of the White Isle to the North West.
The aim was to one day land a spot in Ibiza and this summer, that dream became a reality.
Each month, more and more people became aware of Jacks House and at Christmas the pair, who both hail from Highfield, held a Winter Wonderland party with top acts such as fire-breathers, stilt-walkers and a live percussionist.
“I did a bit of work at Plastik bar in Ibiza two years ago,” explained Andy.
“To be honest, that’s where the idea of Jacks House came from and they got wind of the success we’ve had in the UK and asked us to do four gigs there this summer.
“We couldn’t believe it. We had our first night their on the last Friday in June and it was amazing.”
After taking a break from their usual Wigan event last month, it returns again on July 26 and they are making it one of their biggest yet.
Andy added: “We’ve called it the ‘Summer fiesta’ and we’ve got a set design crew coming down again to make the place look great,
“We’ve got HedKani DJ Andy Daniels coming down too who is unbelievable. It’s going to be one of the best yet, hopefully the place will be buzzing again.”
