A WIGAN musician hopes 2013 will be a case of onwards and upwards after putting together a truly international line-up.
Chris David, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist for Chris D and the Broken Machine (pictured), teamed up with Preston-based lead guitarist John Taylor and Polish drummer Artur Olczyk after his previous drummer and harmonica player both left last year.
With the line-up completed by the continuing presence of Wigan-based South African bassist Marthinus van der Merwe, the group has released its first song Misery, Poverty and War.
The song has proved something of an online hit, racking up thousands of listens on the band’s ReverbNation page and also attracting attention through a Youtube video.
The group is now preparing a six-track EP recorded at The Lounge Studios in Wigan. For more information visit www.reverbnation.com/chrisdandthebrokenmachine
