A Wigan-based author celebrates landmark birthday with launch of two inspirational books.

A local author marked her 40th birthday by launching not one but two transformational books at a community event attended by the Mayor of Wigan.
Natasha Amadi, the founder of the Emerge Mentorship Network, unveiled the two books during an inspiring afternoon that brought together entrepreneurs, local leaders, families, and supporters from across the borough.
The guests said the evening was inspiring and uplifting, with many commenting on how powerful it was to see a local woman using her story to empower others.
The event, alongside celebratng Amadi’s milestone birthday, also demonstrated the growing impact of local voices in literature and community leadership.

Organisers say that it served as a reminder that storytelling and community can play a role in motivating people and strengthening connections across Wigan.
Amadi’s first book announced is 40by40 (40 Things I Wished I achieved Before 40): described as a thoughtful and inspirational guide encouraging the “reader to live intentionally and pursue growth across key areas of life.”
Her second book, Hope in Despair, is an extremely personal faith-based testimony sharing her journey through seasons of waiting, loss, and restoration, offering to help others who are facing similar challenges.
For Natasha, turning 40 became “a moment of honest reflection and bold action”.
She said: “40 made me pause and ask myself what truly matters, these books are an invitation for others to reflect, reset, and rise. I wanted to use my milestones to create impact, not just celebrate”.
The afternoon also spotlit the Emerge Mentorship Network, founded by Natasha, a platform designed to support leadership development and personal growth within the community.
“This is about legacy”, Natasha added. "If my journey encourages even one person in Wigan to pursue purpose with courage, then it’s worth it”.
The Mayor, Coun Jenny Bullen, commended Natasha’s contribution to Wigan’s community and cultural landscape and understood the importance of celebrating local achievements and meaningful representation.
Natasha took to social media to say: “Having the Mayor honour this moment with her words was deeply humbling and symbolic.
"This wasn’t just a book launch; it was impact, representation, and emergence in real time.”
