With the strange weather we have been experiencing, its better to be safe than sorry and be properly kitted out when you take to the hills.

A walking trip in Scotland promised March mildness and some clear skies, but in reality, snow fluttered down and it was freezing.

Cold hands are the bane of my life. But the Douglas Peak gloves I had on, made sure I was nice and cosy as I strolled across the glens.

With a 5 oz Primaloft insulation, these gloves are the business and they have a lovely fleece lining inside to give that added heat.

Fully waterproof and windproof too, the gloves have extended backs to make it easier to pull them off, not that you will want to after you feel how warm they are!
