Archive pictures of Wigan Woolworths from the 1960s to '80s

It’s a long time since Woolworth’s graced the Wigan high street, disappearing from Standishgate long before the chain went into administration 18 years ago.

But memories of older readers may still be vivid of the premises which have changed hands several times since and are now the Coffee House.

These vintage images were taken in the 1960s through to the store’s closure in 1982.
