The firm is searching for investors to realise its dreams of a string of drinking establishments nationwide as well as create a venue at a Liverpool site and open a bar in Leeds.

The brewery had been due to start work on Merseyside but that was paused due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The fund-raising campaign also aims to secure enough money to expand the brewery.

Seven Brothers already has two beer houses and a taproom in Manchester.

CEO Keith McAvoy said: “We’ve built a business on core values around simplicity, transparency, locality and family and thanks to our extended family of over 1,500 investors we’ve seen our business grow.

“We believe we are on our way to becoming one of the UK’s go-to breweries. We have created three much-loved drinking destinations in Manchester and Salford and we hope to replicate this in new cities.”

Nathan, who also played for Leigh Centurions during his career in the 13-man code, founded the brewery alongside Keith and their siblings Kit, Guy, Luke, Dan and Greg.

Seven Brothers will be offering investor rewards to those who support the crowd-funding effort including birthday beers, discounts on purchases from the brewery and tours of the ale-making facilities.

The brewery previously held a successful crowd-funding campaign in 2016.

Since then the firm has enjoyed a 181 per cent growth in business revenue between 2017 and 2019, the brewhouse has increased capacity by more than 800 per cent in five years, and it has struck deals to have its beers on sale in a number of leading supermarkets.

These successes mean the business believes it is on the right track to weather the current economic storm.

Keith said: “Covid-19 has impacted our business however we have been embraced the changes and moved quickly to keep the business going.

“We have a proven track record of high business growth and therefore hope that gives people the confidence to donate to our crowd fund.

“We believe we can make everyone who joins our family proud of their investment.”
