Bosses at The Waterside Inn, in Twist Lane, Leigh, said on social media that it would unfeasible to reopen to the public due to the ongoing pandemic and "other mitigating factors".

Earlier this month, the pub's owner Greene King announced it would be shutting dozens of pubs, with the loss of 800 jobs, after being hit by tighter restrictions in the face of the pandemic.
