The venue's Facebook page posted messages advertising evenings out there over the weekend.

Julie Middlehurst, service manager for regulatory services at Wigan Council, said: "We can confirm that following a review, the direction to close issued last week to Casino de Cuba has now been revoked, meaning the premises can reopen.

"All businesses permitted to open under national guidelines have a legal responsibility to protect their employees and other people on site."

Wigan Council's website contains links to Government guidance on businesses reopening while social distancing measures and other requirements to contain the spread of the coronavirus remain in place.
