But we have in this retrospective gallery pictures of the old place, and even its predecessor which was opened in Victorian times. Several of the pictures date from a special photo shoot in 1976.

Pupils and staff were preseted with a state-of-the-art Mini Q computer for winning the Wigan Schools' ICT Competition by Bill Greenwood, Lynn Halliwell and John Lenagan, from Benchmark Educational Services of Bridgeman Terrace. The children were deemed to have delivered the best power point presentation on the theme "Around The World In Eighty Days" at the final held at Robin Park
