Year One pupils at Ashton St Thomas’s CE Primary School are celebrating after receiving a letter from education minister Damian Hinds, congratulating them on being in the top one per cent of schools for Year One Phonics. Pupils are also celebrating the Chinese New Year, learning new skills, creating art and crafts.
