Wigan youngsters get in tune with the ukulele

​The ukulele has had a century-old association with Wigan, thanks to a certain internationally acclaimed entertainer, and the George Formby Society has been ensuring that the legend lives on.

Its vice-president Dennis Lee was at Hindley Junior and Infants School to give some of its pupils a ukulele lesson as part of their history studies.
