On the left is the Wigan Observer Office and Stationery House with various placards advertising the Leeds Mercury, Liverpool Courier, Tit Bits, Cassell's Saturday Journal, Halfpenny Novelette, Penny Illustrated Paper, Bradshaw's Railway Guides, Manx steamer trips and even Mediterranean pleasure cruises.
