The Spring View cricket team which won the Halliwell Shield against Adlington in August 1995. Captain, Kieron James, lead the batting attack with 109 not out and shared a partnership of 127 with Jason Leonard who scored 54 in a total of 236 for 7 in the alloted 50 overs. In reply Adlington managed 206 all out with Spring View's chief wicket takers were Chris Barnes with 5 for 88 and John Green with 4 for 69. Ishtaq Beg took 1 for 19. The team are, back row, left to right, Anthony James (scorer), Chris Dunn, Darren Burrows, Martin Hodgkinson, Chris Barnes, Jason Leonard and Ish Beg. Front row, Howard Bamber, Anthony Woods, Kieron James, Ken McAllister and John Green.
