RETRO: St George's Day in Wigan from the 1960s to the 1990s

St George’s day is celebrated April 23 and each year Wigan holds a parade through the town on the nearest Sunday to it. Here is a selection of photographs of the annual event taken in the 1960s to the 1990s. More recent pictures will appear in a separate gallery later in the week.
