RETRO: Wigan's Rathbone Gala in 1988

It used to be a popular and major fixture on Wigan’s calendar, but while the Rathbone Gala is no more, we are looking back 35 years to the one in 1988, when carnival queens and colourful characters paraded through the crowded streets of the town centre.
