Then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher meets Geoffrey Shryhane as she visited Wigan in 1990.

A bus journey to Appley Bridge led Geoffrey to a donkey’s gravestone. The
small stone told how the donkey 'Ould Bobby' had pulled his owner
William Stopford around the village in a small cart in the 1870s. Sadly “Ould
Bobby” died aged 34.
